macbook pro F3 mission control function

Somewhere after snow leopard the F3 (mission control) key slightly changed. Previously when I hit the F3 key it showed all pages/apps including any I had minimised to the dock. For some time now when I hit the F3 key it only shows pages/apps that are open on my desktop (not any minimised pages/apps). I've been putting up with this for a while now but I am getting more & more frustrated, can I get the old F3 mission control function back? Any help would be appreciated. cheers
